Help a companion find their home
Adoption on PatiGaga is free. Every listing is read before it goes live, applications arrive with a few questions answered, and your contact details are never shared automatically.
You need a free account to browse listings or post one. We ask for it so we can follow the application between the two sides and stop misuse.
How it works
-
Listings are read before they go live
Posting is free, but nothing goes live instantly. Listings that ask for money, look like a commercial sale or seem untrue are not published.
-
Applications arrive with answers
Whoever applies tells you what kind of home they live in, who else is there, whether they have had a companion before and how much of the day someone is home. The point is not to filter people out, it is to match well.
-
You connect only if both sides want to
No name, email or phone number travels with an application. Once the owner says they are interested, we put the two of you in touch.
Three promises
Nobody asks for money
No listing may ask for a fee, a deposit, shipping or a "pet taxi" payment. If you see one, you can report it in a single tap.
A listing does not open the health record
A listing shows only the name, photo, age, species, district and the text you wrote. The health record stays private to you even while the listing is live.
What you report gets looked at
A fee being asked, a fake listing, suspected breeding for sale, mistreatment or inappropriate content. Pick the reason and leave the rest to us.
Found on the street? Scan for a chip first
🔎 An animal found on the street may be someone's lost pet. Before you list them, have a vet scan for a microchip: if one turns up, the animal is lost and the owner can be traced. If there is no chip you may rehome them, and the new owner will need to have a chip fitted and registered in their own name.
When you meet
Adopt safely: meet in a public place and see the animal before taking them home. Report anyone asking for money, a deposit or shipping costs. Microchip: if there is one, move the registration into your name within 60 days; if there is none, have one fitted and registered in your name as soon as possible. Both are legal requirements.
The vaccination and health history of the companion you adopt lives in the same account. See the health record
